Great Lakes Colleges Association

Earlham is a founding member of the Great Lakes Colleges Association (GLCA), a consortium of 13 private liberal arts colleges in Indiana, Michigan, Ohio and Pennsylvania. Our membership makes a number of programs, administrative support groups, services and resources available to our faculty and staff.

Among these resources are:

  • Off-campus study programs that are recognized by GLCA and managed by different member colleges.
  • Funding for research and professional development. Grants are available to GLCA faculty members engaged in various fields and are funded by a grant from the Mellon Foundation.
  • Opportunities for discussion and reflection.
  • Collaborative approaches to resources and learning.

Taking action on behalf of education in the tradition of the liberal arts and sciences.
